Front Protective Bumper
The Ibis Tek Front Protective Bumper (FPB) [Patent Pending] allows all models of the HMMWV to easily push their way through barriers or other obstacles put in front of the vehicle. Installation of the FPB greatly reduces potential damage to critical engine, cooling, body and front end components that are susceptible to damage during collisions.
The FPB attaches easily to existing holes in the vehicle with the use of common tools and without welding or drilling. A cutout in the front of the bumper allows for continued use of a winch by simply moving the existing rollers to that location. The FPB also includes lockable storage compartments on either side for secure storage.
The FPB comes with several options to facilitate different mission requirements.
VPAS
The VPAS attaches to the FPB in approximately 20 minutes and once attached provides the ability to move or avoid running over smaller objects in path.
Cornering lights
Cornering lights are mounted on the front of FPB and provide extended illumination nearer ground level. Illumination of roadside permits viewing at greater distance of potential IED emplacement locations.IR Illuminators
IR Illuminators can be mounted in the center or corners of the FPB to greatly enhance illumination during NVG operations.
