The Ibis Tek ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited ballistic range provides a wide variety of ballistic test capabilities.  The facility uses the latest testing and control equipment and is staffed with a team of test experts with experience in ballistic armor, both transparent and opaque.  With a ballistic range only 70 feet away from the prototype facility, Ibis Tek can rapidly solve critical design challenges.

The state-of-the-art ballistic range can fire rounds up to 0.50 caliber and 20mm fragment simulating projectiles (FSPs) at velocities over 3,000 feet per second.  Ovens and freezers housed at the range are available for conditioning samples, and optical velocity gates measure projectile speeds.  The adjacent laboratory also offers accredited environmental, chemical and optical testing.
