MASTC Spare Tire Carrier
Ibis Tek features the Mechanically Assisted Spare Tire Carrier (MASTC) and External Storage Carrier (ESC). Specifically designed and engineered for the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), both swing out of the way of the tailgate allowing access to the rear compartment.
The spare tire is easily stowed on the MASTC and readily accessible. With the specially designed mechanical assist you can effortlessly change a flat or damaged tire on a HMMWV, minus the heavy lifting or straining. The carrier mounts using existing holes in the rear bumper of the HMMWV and requires no modifications to the vehicle.
The ESC allows you to carry essential tools, water, or equipment and have it readily available for whatever need arises. The ESC is also designed to use existing holes on the bumper and installs quickly.
Easy to Install:
The spare tire carrier installs in minutes with standard hand tools using existing bolts in the bumper with, as stated above, no modifications required. The spare tire carrier kit is supplied with all the hardware you need for installation, which simply requires removal of four existing bolts and mounting two brackets.Easy to Use:
The carrier lowers the heavy tire to the ground with minimal effort, allowing easy access, and also raises the tire to the storage position with as much ease.Does Not Interfere With Vehicle Mission:
The carrier does not interfere with the operation of the tailgate, trailer hitch, or tie down areas. Compact and lightweight, the spare tire carrier easily swings out of the way to allow full access to the cargo area, regardless of model.
