Transparent Armor Options
Heat
Ibis Tek offers state-of-the-art De-Ice/De-Frost/De-Fog heating capabilities. We design and manufacture our unique embedded wire technology to meet any heating requirements. Unlike coated heating technology, our technology has no adhesion & delamination issues, and does not degrade visible nor night vision transmittance.
Rock Strike
Ibis Tek further extends service life performance by offering our Rock-Strike technology. This technology utilizes a specially strengthened outer glass layer that is proven to significantly resistant cracks and chips caused by rocks and other flying materials.
Scratch/Blowing Sand
Ibis Tek can further extend service life performance through our patent pending Scratch/Blowing Sand Resistant Coatings. These coatings are environmental and chemical resistant, and increase resistance to scratching and blowing sand by 17-20 times.
Electronic Shielding
Ibis Tek can eliminate the detrimental effects of EMI/FRI emittance through windows. Our electronic shielding technology is designed to shield a wide range of attenuation levels.
Fabrication
Ibis Tek can design and produce our transparent armor in virtually any shape and pattern. Our maximum size is approximately 72" (1825mm) x 96" (2440mm). Gunport holes, cut-outs and other special fabrications are easily incorporated into our design.
Gunports
Ibis Tek can not only supply our Transparent Armor with sealed holes for gunports, but can manufacture and install ballistic gunports.
Tinting
Ibis Tek's transparent armor can be tinted to virtually any shade or color. Windshields can be offered with a variety of sun/solar bands. Reflective and one-way-viewing are also available.
UV Heat Gain Minimization
Ibis Tek can utilize our UV Reflective layer(s) to minimize the heat gain inside a vehicle caused by sunlight. This technology reduces the temperature inside a vehicle and reduces air-conditioner and power consumption.
