Able to change jobs at a moments notice due to production demands.

Must be able to do high quality work at an accelerated pace. Most is production work that has due dates so doing the job correctly the first time is crucial.

Able to read a harness/board drawing . Experience with this is a plus. Must be able to interpret notes and various manufacturing requirements specific to a product.

Strong  organizational skills. Must be able to keep  multiple parts for a job in order.

Able to work within a small group and communicate clearly with teammates and quality/engineering personnel.

Job may require you to do the same operation multiple times. Being able to do a task hundreds of times correctly is a must.

Basic mechanical skill also needed occasionally for electrical assemblies.

Must be able to crimp various types of terminals. Hands on training is available.

Must be able to solder wire and terminals as well as through hole and SMT applications.

Knowledge of circuit board making is a plus. Hands on training is available.

IPC 610 / 620 & J-STD 001 training or knowledge is a plus. This training will be provided once job competency is proven.

  • Performs basic quality techniques to track, analyze, and report on materials, processes, and products to ensure that they meet the company’s quality standard.  Use hand inspection tools to verify product conformance during audits or screening activities.
  • Provides guidance and leadership on the proper utilization of various types of measuring equipment.
  • Works with cross functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, especially the nonconforming material and review board procedures
  • Lead or assist continual improvement  and corrective and preventative action projects.
  • Conducts audits of manufacturing, quality and other systems for compliance.
  • Assists in the creation of test methods for product conformance.
  • Evaluates and assists in the resolution of returned/suspect material and communicates the results in a timely and effective manner.

  • Leads management review meetings supported by PowerPoint presentations and documented by minutes

  • Supports external quality assurance officers and government representatives during on-site inspections of finished goods, which includes reviewing documentation packages of material certificates, inspection records, and other evidence of compliance with contract requirements

  • Understands all contractual quality requirements related to all programs.

  • Submits quality related reports in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Oversees and monitors all product quality deficiency reports.

  • Responsible for creating and/or overseeing certificates of compliance

  • Oversees supplier quality system: supports audits of customer facilities, generates corrective action requests, manages supplier scorecards, and nonconforming material containment

  • Conducts training on quality assurance concepts and tools as needed.

  • Formulates or helps formulate new quality assurance policies and procedures as needed.

  • Facilitates proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manages and supervises the quality assurance team.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in Quality field or Manufacturing related field preferred. ASQ certifications preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001:2015.

  • Strong numerical skills and understanding of statistical methods and quality tools (e.g., SPC, CpK, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, Gage R&R, PPAP)

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, GD&T specifications, schematics, etc.

  • Experience in supplier quality management.

  • Strong analytical skills with emphasis on root cause and data analysis. Experienced in use of root cause analysis methodologies (such as, 5 Whys, 8D, fishbone, etc.). Six Sigma experience preferred.

  • Independent judgment and decision making ability; Reliable and Trustworthy

  • Able to influence and educate others on quality related issues

  • Highly motivated. Persistent in accomplishing tasks and driven for success.
